What I've been up to

Finished reading What Is the What, about the civil war in Sudan (not just Darfur). It's a biography of a Sudanese child who ran from the war into Ethiopia and Kenya. Really good, I recommend.
We have a new guest! And a new grill. We're gonna start off by grilling some sweet corn, onions and veggie patties. We're happy to have him :)
We took him to the Farmer's Market yesterday. It was packed, and hot. Had some tamales, iced tea, yummy.
Got this bookshelf at Goodwill for $35 dollars! We fixed it, painted it and it now sits comfortably in my bedroom. It's already full of books.
Been making some mini albums (from our trip through AZ, CO, NM and UT and Lake Tahoe), and some scrapbook pages. I can those later.
And a little bit of sewing. I need to fix my stitches, though. They're coming loose.
Other than that, just brewing fresh iced tea and cooking a bit.
What have you been up to?
